Jeff Vanderstelt’s book Saturate has been a launched and… It. Is. Awesome. It’s Jeff’s first book and it captures some great stories from Jeff’s journey so far and highlights the biblical groundwork for the Soma missional communities. Saturate is super helpful for anyone who is beginning the “missional community journey”
Here’s the summary from the Saturate website:
Many Christians have unwittingly embraced the idea that “church” is a once-a-week event rather than a community of Spirit-empowered people; that “ministry” is what pastors do on Sundays rather than the 24/7 calling of all believers; and that “discipleship” is a program rather than the normal state of every follower of Jesus.

I would highly recommend giving this book a read and I also highly recommend checking out the videos on the Saturate the World website (there’s a bunch that go for a minute or so each) as they provide some simple illustrations such as “Church isn’t just for Sunday”, “Church is more than a building” and “Following Jesus in the everyday stuff of life”.
